Hey fam,

As you may or may not know, Elise’s birthday is coming up on July 27th. This year has been a trying one for all of us. But self quarantining for several months has been especially difficult for Elise. As the weeks and months wore on, and we continued to live confined and isolated, I could tell that she was struggling with the inability to draw friends near and have that deep connection we all know she’s so good at.

So for this birthday, since we’re not able to have a big celebration, I thought it would be amazing to remind Elise how much of an impact she’s had on the world, and how many lives she has touched. And while so many of her friends are scattered all across the world, I thought seeing all your faces together would help her realize that, though she can’t see you all on a daily basis, her existence in our lives has truly been a blessing.

So if you’re willing and able, I’d be eternally grateful if you would record a short video message for Elise’s birthday.

The video can be as short or as long as you want. It doesn’t need to be fancy. A cellphone video would be perfect. You’re welcome to make the message your own, but if you need some ideas, here are a few prompts:

• Share a favorite memory about Elise
• Share how Elise has impacted your life
• Share about what Elise’s friendship means to you
• Share about qualities that you admire in Elise
• Share a birthday wish you have for Elise

Again, this is a secret for Elise. I’ll be sharing the videos with her on her birthday, so please don’t mention this to her!
